Development
Full-stack delivery, solution architecture, and the unfashionable skill of finishing.
About
Jeff Cann. Principal consultant, solution architect and software engineer. Thirty years of shipping complex systems in Sydney and London — media, telecommunications, education, finance, energy, healthcare and government.
The work I am proudest of is not the stack. It is the product that still runs, the team that can operate it, and the constraint we respected instead of pretending it was not there.
Breadth
Full-stack delivery, solution architecture, and the unfashionable skill of finishing.
TDD, BDD, and test programmes introduced into teams that had been shipping on hope.
Cloud migrations, pipelines, cost, continuity — production as a design constraint.
Research, information architecture, and interfaces for people who are busy or distressed.
Finances, sales, marketing, grants. Software that cannot explain its own value does not last.

Sydney
Cloud migration, mobile modernisation, and retrofitting automated testing into long-lived systems.

London
Core systems for clearing, energy finance, investment banking and the courts. The years that taught how production software actually behaves under load, regulation and politics.

I work with organisations that already know the problem is messy. If you need architecture, delivery leadership, or a product taken from idea to production, start a conversation.
